Meet the Owner
Ali Hoyer, owner & stylist.
With 18+ years behind the chair, Ali has built her career around her passion for hair, creativity, fashion and making people feel their best. She trained at the Aveda Institute in Minneapolis and began her career at Shear Perfection in Red Wing, Minnesota, where she grew her skills and built lasting relationships with her clients.
In June 2026, Ali brought her career home to Ellsworth and opened STYLE on Main Street: a welcoming, fun salon where clients and stylists alike feel at home, with the expertise and Aveda products you'd expect from a big-city salon, without the drive.
Ali leads a team of stylists offering cuts, color, highlights, Great Lengths extensions and special-occasion styling. Her philosophy is simple: your hair should look as good on day thirty as it does when you leave the chair. That's why every visit ends with a plan and the right products to make it happen.
One of the most exciting parts of opening STYLE has been the clothing boutique. Ali has always loved fashion and is known for putting together fun, stylish outfits, so the salon and boutique reflect everything she loves: hair, fashion, creativity and helping people feel confident.
When she's not at STYLE, Ali enjoys spending time with her two daughters, Ila and Elizabeth, who keep her busy and make life extra fun.
